Welcome to our world. We are a non-profit organisation that helps take care of the elderly ladies in our community.

Our primary goal is to provide an affordable home for our residents. Unfortunately, it’s really difficult for us to meet the needs of our residents. Simply put, our books are constantly in the red. In order to remain operational, we need the goodwill of our community. We rely on your kind donations to meet our cash flow shortfalls. Our fundraising efforts go a long way in helping us balance the books. Every little bit helps to keep our world turning.

Contribute with My Village

MyVillage is part of SA’s biggest fund-raising program ‘My School My Village My Planet’. It’s simple, convenient and is no direct cost to you. We encourage our residents’ family, friends as well as well-wishers to be a part of this. All you have to do is join the program. The contact details are listed below. If you already hold a MySchool card, you can keep the card and simply ask to change support to Essenwood. If you’re already supporting someone, you can ask to share support between more than one beneficiary.

Volunteer in Our World

We also welcome volunteers to assist our residents. Donating your time is equally as valuable. Volunteers are always welcome as company for residents. Spend some of your spare time at our home with our elderly ladies by reading to them or just chatting to them. There are numerous opportunities to help and entertain our residents. You can help us further by hosting activities such as crafts or exercise class. You can also take residents for walks or on shopping trips.

In addition, training and guidance will be provided by us where required. If you would like to know more, please contact us. Our ladies will appreciate it more than you can ever know.
